Ghostbusters controversy - blown out of proportion?
See for yourself

Oh, dear. It seems this same thing happens whenever a high-profile multiplatform game is released. Rumors start floating around about one version of the game being inferior (usually seems to be the...

This isn't a fair test since there's no real way to tell the difference from these screen shots since the resolution is too low. The highest resolution screen shot here is 888x499 which is a lower resolution than the PS3 game itself (960x540).

That's like asking what's the difference between two HD pictures when viewing them on a SD TV.

So yes, it's impossible to tell the difference if you run the games on a SD TV set, but on a 720p or 1080p TV set it's very easy to tell the difference.

If you wanted to make the test fair, you'd provide at least screen shots of at least 1280x720 resolution (what the 360 runs at).

6) This a pre-production pic, ghostbusters doesn't habve a radar.
7) PS3
8) 360
9) 360
10) PS3

Anyway I bet I got most of them correct.

EDIT: It's hard to tell when some of the screen shots are so small.
Most people will be playing ghost busters on a TV that is least 15'.

But when you posted those screenshots, they automatically get resized so they don't stretch the screen. Even when they're small, you can still see the carpet looks slightly blurred on the PS3 version (of course it's different when you're told which is which).

So does the size of the screenshot really matter?

Another devolper failing to properly port a game? I'm almost suprised.
I can't much tell, but I'm hardly trying.
The main nail in the coffin is its a (decent movie here): the game! so its going to have minimal effort thrown in.
Game itself isn't worth buying on any platform.
As for the "PS3 sucks" posts, you guys aren't worth the time.

Xbox, PS3, Xbox, PS3, PS3, Xbox, PS3, PS3, Xbox, Xbox

I really have no clue. I know that I don't tend to like 360's graphics (They're too... Hm, I'm not sure what word to use. They aren't blended as well, so every detail is like a bunch of pin pricks to my eyes.) especially in bright areas (in-game bright areas.)

PS3 bothers me at times as well. I'm not fully sure why though. Maybe I just hate gaming and don't know it yet.

Hmm... this comparison is beside the point ¬¬
Those images are not taken directly from the game at native resolution. These are resized stills.

This comparison is like trying to notice the difference between 1080i and 1080p out of youtube videos. Anyway, if this makes you feel better carry on.
For my part I own both consoles and I beleive I want to make an informed decision before purchasing... in which case this site does not help at all.

When you post a large picture such as a screenshot, it is resized. If you put to gameplay vids side by side in comparsion, upoading it sites like YouTube dumbs the quality so its hard to tell. These are for the simple purpose to see if people can actually tell apart the graphical differences, which relates directly to the article because its main focus is the graphic difference of one game on two different platforms. It directly tells you the 360 version is better, so just buy that one and stop complaining.

Also:
1) 360
2) PS3
3) 360
4) PS3
5) PS3
6) 360
7) PS3
8) 360
9) PS3
10) 360
Something tells me I'm way off though.

While it does appear that the 360 version is slightly better, the PS3 version isn't as bad as people claim. The point of the article is that if you can't tell the difference between the screenshots, then there's no reason why you shouldn't get the PS3 version (if that's the one you want to get, or don't own a 360).

I know that, but a lot of people don't seem to understand it.
Also, can you PM me if I got any of the above answers right?
