Recommend Action RPG Games

I'm playing Borderlands at the moment with a friend and am loving it!

But I need another game to play single player so what would people suggest in the Action RPG niche?

Gears of war is another one of my favorites because of the game-play but doesn't have the RPG aspect... Also just finished splinter cell and am looking forward to the next due to the strategy involved... can be frustrating sometimes though!

I used to be into fantasy type games like Diablo but haven't found any to be all that great on 360... yet...

In my opinion you can hardly call Mass Effect 2 an rpg's played it great game but rpg nah not enough tweaking for that.

And borderlands amazing game but action rpg nah more like FPS with small rpg ellements. More like skill upgrades.

Action RPG's?
I would say FF VII Crisis Core for the PSP: I haven't beat it yet (close though) but its great. Plenty of action, actually has a plot, plenty of RPG elements (levels, random monster encounters, skill boosts, equipment, swords and magic, hot chicks, blah blah blah) and the graphics are excellent. As for the 360, I don't really know. Don't own one. Mass Effect is good so I hear, Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion and Fallout 3 are great, and have tons of DLC and tons of replay value, despite the fact that there's no multiplayer. Not really "actiony" though.

thats not an action rpg. there never have been rpg elements in gta unless the stats in san andreas count
